Sustainable Design for Healthy Communities - Workshop Series at the Greater Denton Arts Council

In 2023, as part of their Thursday night community engagement series, the Greater Denton Arts Council hosted CVAD’s Fashion Design program for s series interactive workshop under the theme of Sustainable Design for Healthy Communities.
The workshops, organized by CVAD Fashion Design Associate Professor Barbara Trippeer, allowed BFA and MFA fashion design students to engage with the community on sustainability education and methods of living better through mindful design.
The workshop, "Denim Days", a part of the series engaged over 50 attendees on denim up-cycling and garment mending. The series engaged community members from all walks of life, as all ages were invited to participate.
